Dated? This thing chews up and spits out some cooing, mewling "indie" album any fucking day of the week, and has probably aged better too.

A glam rock classic. Over here in the States, T. Rex is virtually unheard of, the only song anyone knows is "Get It On (Bang a Gong)". Despite the fact that "20th Century Boy" is my favorite T. Rex song, I still have to say Electric Warrior is THE definitive T. Rex album. Any self-respecting T. Rex fan has to have this.

Two years before the New York Dolls went out looking for kisses and a year before Ziggy Stardust played his guitar and whatever else he did, in 1971 Electric Warrior did everything that Glam was ever intended to do. In its all too short forty minutes Electric Warrior touches on everything glam from cars, sex, drugs and sexual freedom. The seemingly effortless sexual calling of “Bang a Gong (Get it On)” is definitely the stand out track on the album but other great songs to check out are “Mambo Sun” and “Jeepster.” Essential for any Glam or Rock fan.
