Hugh Laurie proves once more that he is the coolest cat around. He's not just a world renounced TV Doctor but he is also an incredible blues player!

Hugh Laurie makes a blues album- and it's ballsy as fuck. He sounds like a fucking boss on it, the piano playing is stellar, his melodies are huge and the arrangements are really fucking nice. Even someone who listens to this kind of shit routinely can't deny how awesome Laurie sounds on this, he's the star of the show. It's a bit too long, but is easily still one of the smoothest and beautifully put together albums I've heard in a while. Cool album.

I hope Hugh Laurie had fun listening to this music as much as I did because Let Them Talk is proof that Hugh Laurie is a very talented man outside of House. My favorite tracks are the title track and "St. James Infirmary" Awesome stuff.

The Song selection, instrumentation, production and arrangements are all tops. As long as you don't mind House M.D. doing the singing you'll probably like this just fine.
