This is an example of a band attempting to work past their flaws and create something that either relives their glory days or creates something fantastic all together, on one hand, we have songs like Jamie All Over (Acoustic) and Kids in Love (Acoustic) in which Derek's vocals seem almost forced and completely out of place along with the predictable instrumental arrangements, and then you have songs like Bruised and Scarred (Acoustic) and Terrible Things, which show Mayday Parade heading towards a new fresh sound where everything flows much nicer. All in all, this is a mixed bag of an EP that shows a talented band struggling to find itself, with mediocre results.
