I expected this to suck and it didn't. I can't really say that I'm all that familiar with the band, but I seem to remember that the death vocals used to be an unintelligible gurgle and the pace of the songs ruined any cool riffs that might exist.... that's not the case this time. The growls are clear and powerful and there are actual dynamics (and awesome riffs, by extention).

Very good album and a step in the right direction for Deicide after the major disappointment that was "Till Death Do Us Part".

Sounds like they took the songs from their past few albums and just changed the lyrics. They really need to bring the Hoffman brothers back.

Production quality on this album is through the roof compared to "Till Death Do Us Part". The riffing and
rhythms seem to be tighter and leaving behind the traditional Deicide nauseating guitar tones and Cookie
Monster vocals. If you're a death metal fan, this album is worth every dollar.
