holy freaking crap this was just beyond amazing. It is nu-metal aggression in the best possible
way, who knows, I may bump this into a 5 once I give it more spins (and listen to the rest of
these guys disog.) IT. IS. THAT. GOOD
UPDATE: it is that good and this is without a doubt the best album these guys ever put out, and
that is saying something seeing as how ridiculously strong their catalog is

This was their first TVT-backed record, the material is simply excellent. The production is divisive - my take is that the sound is quite flat. The guitars are very thin-sounding, and that's crazy considering the tuning Tom was using on most of the tracks; the demos show what could have been. "Skeletons" lacked some of the focus found on this record, but the production improved significantly, and the overall sound palette became much wider. I fail to see how it's related to nu-metal at all.
