Walk Among Us is the first actual full length album released by the Misfits, and the last with their original lineup. It's a pretty solid record mostly because of the band's attitude and energy, but it does have some filler. I'm more partial to the band's earlier EP's and previously unreleased 12 Hits from Hell. With a few exceptions, the songs on this and Earth AD are just not as memorable as the old hits. A couple songs on here are actually available on some of the older albums, although I think they were re-recorded for Walk Among Us. There really aren't any bad songs, as the Misfits deliver their horror movie inspired lyrics through short, energetic and catchy blasts of punk. The album is heavily reliant on the hooks and woah-oh-oh's, which are usually at least good, but it seems to be missing some substance. Still a solid listen from a great band. Best tracks are I Turned into a Martian, Skulls and Astro Zombies.

The Misfits' first LP is excellent! This album (and this band's entire with-Danzig discography) is definitely a must-listen if you enjoy hardcore punk.

When the question of punk-excellence is brought up, one band that comes to mind is the Misfits, and rightly so. Highly-influential and in no way mainstream, these guys know how to kick serious a*s.

After suffering through poor quality production on their previous eps, due to their do-it-yourself attitude, the Misfits hit a home run. This is pure punk genius. One of my all time favorite albums, the misfits created a genre with this album, spookycore. Shortrly after this album the misfits would disband, but left behind a massive legacy with this slice of perfection
