Asking Alexandria's EP was an unnecessary release, with laughably lazy remixes of two of their songs, a demo that sounds almost identical to the finished copy bar the vocals, a lackluster chug filled song from their, at the time upcoming second album, and two covers, which arguably are the best on the EP. Their is almost no energy to be found on this EP whatsoever.

Never heard the original skid row songs, but the covers sounded pretty decent. The remixes here were completely awful. Their only new song on the entire ep could have been better, but it was not that terrible.

Not as bad as their first album, but still. Why is it necessary to have the same breakdowns in every song on everything they have ever put out. Skid Row covers weren't as awful as expected but the guy still cannot sing.

Though i appreciate and very much like the homage they pay to their influence on this ep, it is greatly undermined by the presence of the dubstep. Though i understand that being british they have a more endearing attachment to electronic music than your average american joe, but in my opinion, it was unnecessary. It did, however impress the dubstep loving high schoolers and most likely gained the band a few more fans. Still, this release did nothing more than gain money and attention, which is the entire purpose of an ep, is it not? In the end, though it was sloppily done, the mission was accomplished.

No, no, just no. Sure, it's better for English metalcore quintet Asking Alexandria to experiment on a 6 track EP rather than on a full-length release, but practically nothing works on 'Life Gone Wild'. The 2 Skid Row covers are nondescript & drag all the emotion out of the originals. The demo of '...Cowboy King' is useless, while the 2 remixes are repetitive & completely out of place. Finally, new cut 'Breathless' isn't anywhere near the best from their forthcoming 2nd LP. I understand this is meant to be a grab-bag release, but the lack of cohesion here is deplorable. Even fans of the band may struggle with this 23 minute EP. Recommended Track: Breathless.

On the only new song, "Breathless" Danny's low vocals sound similar to a barking dog. (in case you can't
tell, that is a bad thing) Also, I noticed that this new song is sounding a bit more like Miss May I,
however it is not even that decent. This actually seems like a regression, in my opinion.
