Unadapted synthesised drums meet 'unique' growls (complete with just as 'unique' cleans) and truly awful synths to form a venomous triad, seeking only to snuff out the enjoyment one might get from the passable guitars - and they largely succeed. The frustrating thing is, with real drums (or at least better mixed drum machines), better synths and a more relaxed vocal performance, this could actually have been a pretty solid funeral doom release. A shame, really.
