Gothic metalcore with JUN-JUN-JUN, Towering walls of synth, and epic cleanly sung choruses, this is my shit nigga. If they had any guest or permanent female vocals in here Id 5 immediately.

That's right. A fucking 4. I saw this band live tonight, and they put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. That, and this CD has some spectactular songs on it. This band has the work ethic, positive attitude, and the members are all down to earth and cool as shit. They are completely devoid of industry bullshit and being in it for the money, but are there for the fans. Call it a guilty pleasure, call it blasphemy, or whatever you want, but this is awesome.

Some pretty catchy bits with some alright drumming and their vocalists are pretty good, but it's pretty much all back hits on the drum and breakdowns (see We came as romans for a comparison)

So it's not wholly original nor does the album feel consistent concerning staying power, but melodic metalcore troupe Motionless in White's debut studio album still ends up being a fine jam and a half so long as one doesn't stumble upon the record anticipating anything that's gonna shatter boulders. Creatures - named after what the band calls their fans - suffers quite a bit thanks to overproduction and a lack of identity, though the instrumental work combined with Chris Motionless' surprisingly nice harsh vocals help make MiW's first full-length release bearable one way or another.

Wow! This album puts a really good twist on metalcore adding in industrial and goth elements. The many positives to this album are it has great intensity but with a lot of melody also, it has a reasonable amount of breakdowns (some are quite good) so it is not breakdown heaven, and the synthesizers/keyboards are played in a way that is not corny or too dance-like. The negatives are that it is overproduced and the lyrics/lyrical themes seemed limited at times.

Complete with atmospheric choir-sounding keyboards, powerful vocals with great range in both harsh and cleans, hard hitting instrumentals and well executed lyricism with great concepts, Motionless in White's debut album shows vast improvement from their EPs, with the only noticeable flaws being occasionally repetitive song structures and a more than desirable amount of breakdowns.

Would have been a 4 if the production wasn't so glossy. It fit alright with the synth and effects, but there were points where the emotion was really lost due to a lack of rawness in the instrumentals or Chris' vocals.

I'm not able to not enjoy the junz. vocals are fine, too. also huge improvement for them, as far as I remember the EP's were shitty as hell. the goth passages are annoying at times though.
