4.5 superb | Assemblage | December 26th 21 | From the beginning, Protector were shaping up
to be one of the most underrated acts in the
death metal business, and from hearing the
two-track demo and relistening to this, I have
no reason to change my score. It's a hell of
an ep release from '87, with some absolute
substance in all of these cuts; almost as
enjoyable as Scream Bloody Gore and is more
listenable than Morbid Angel. These songs are
a must-have in your Protector collection.

3.5 great | Bedex | July 31st 19 | Fairly generic but cool and fast thrash metal with vocals I don't like but don't really hate and nice riffage at times with sweet brutality to it. No jams, track 3-4 are the coolest, but bits of wankeriness here and there on track 6 for instance, and 1 is weird with horrendous vocals. A record I will happily forget, but wasn't unhappy jamming. 3.4
