Not exactly just a remaster, sounds to me that instrumentals were re-recorded entirely, rewritten in parts even, but, unlike how some tracks from the debut were re-recorded a few times in the past, this release keep the original style intact. Jesse's vocals weren't re-recorded, those sounds crazily emotional, painful and driven - glad it was left that way. As far as I'm concerned, this is their second best LP, everything after lacked the drive and purpose.

The songs have definatly been improved since their self titled. Much better quality as well. In the unblind used to be the Worst song by these guys just because i never understood anything that was going on in the song since its quality was so low. This album was well worth their time making.

This is very good addition to the Killswitch Engage album collection like I am myself. Every song on this album is more improved for the better from the original album such as the guitar rifts seem more of a high quality sound. My favorites were Soilborn and Irreversal from being remastered.
