Abigail Williams attempt to steal Emperor's first two records and yield some occasionally
great, but mostly mediocre results. But hey, at least they're not playing breakdowns
anymore!

Abigail Williams has gone down more in the direction of Black Metal; departing from their previous genres. Abigail Williams manage to maintain a different yet excellent album. They line-up is currently only three members, which includes: Sorceron, Jan, and Ken. Although Abigail Williams only has three members they still manage to maintain the direct assault of an aggressive genre.

Although not as genre-bending and creative as "In The Shadow Of A Thousand Suns", "In The Absence Of Light" is a more kvlt approach to the ever-expanding sub-genre of black metal. Since it is a first time for this band to play in such a pure form of black metal this album is merely a 3, I don't doubt though their future releases will be more meaty and exciting as they expand on their sound.
