You know, I can understand how it would be difficult for Christofer Drew Ingle's music to
mature when he obviously hasn't even hit puberty yet, the fault shouldn't be on him for this
one. The main problem with his sophomore album Harmony is that it was produced by
Butch Vig of all people, none other than the guy responsible for being apart of some of the
most influential grunge records of all time. Nothing resembling Vig's touch is anywhere to
be found on this album, you would never know he was involved, let alone the main producer,
without reading the album credits in the linear notes, his participation must have been kept
to a bare minimum. There really shouldn't be an excuse for a famed and masterful producer
like Vig to have not affected the album's quality significantly, but let's face it, Vig is
known for grunge, the polar opposite of painfully immature acoustic emo music like this. As
for Ingle, it's the same case as his debut. If track names like "This Shit Getz Old" and
"CheaterCheaterBestFriendEater" are any indication, the tween themes still messily butt
heads with the toddler personality. At times it's actually so juvenile and putridly over-
sentimental that it almost seems like a joke. The CD actually comes with flower seeds and
planting instructions that read: "so you can get involved and make the world a more
beautiful place!". I'm not even kidding.
