3/4 of this is absolutely ridiculous doomsludgestoner (weed lmao) with some nice lil sonic additions - like that clean af black metal riff on "Satan" or those psych leads in "Worship" - throughout that allows the record to avoid repetition while still hammering its disgusting riffs to death. Shame the last track is boring drone, first three tracks represent near-perfect heavy weed music.

As a long time tool fan, and after listening to Bongripper for about two years now, I can say with confidence that Bongripper is sitting at my number two spot in terms of originality and quality musicianship. Sometimes straight heavy unforgiving doom, other times a cross between psychedelic and doom.

Someone needs to review this. I want to give it a slightly lower rating, because Doom is slightly a letdown. But the other 75% of the album is some of the best in the genre of the past decade.
