Amazing as it is to believe, the old dudes comprising Death Angel just released what I consider to be their
best album ever. I was absolutely shocked when I threw it in the cd player and heard it in all its thrash
awesomeness. As far as the traditional thrash kings go, I think the new Slayer is fairly ordinary, the new
Overkill is pretty good, the new Megadeth is bit better, the newest Metallica a cut above Mustaine's output,
and the new Exodus a great album above all the former. However, I put this effort at the top of the pile. I
realize how ridiculous/insane this reads, but I honestly haven't heard such great signature riffs, wicked
solos, and angry purposeful vocals since the 80s /90s thrash heyday. No shit. Pick it up and you'll hear
what I mean. Death Angel? Really? Oh, and one last thing: the vocals sound nothing like Overkill...

Guitar solos in this album are amazing, and some riffs are great. Vocals sound a bit similar to Overkill, but better in my opinion. Definitely worth a listen.

Predictable, safe, trite, shallow, dull, uninspired, boring, repetitive, stale, redundant, obsolete... Generic riffs, generic screams, breakdowns, radio metal choruses with the odd clean vocal... are you sure this isn't Trivium or Sylosis or something? Lifeless, artificial, by the numbers, and it's almost one hour long. Christ this band gets weaker and weaker with each subsequent release.

I honestly believe this is Death Angel's best work of their career, and it's definitely a contender for best Thrash album of the year. Standout Tracks: Truce, Absence of Light, Opponents At Sides, and This Hate.

This cd is very badass.....only complaint in the song volcanic.....lyrics are horrible but why'd he have to say "hate the player don't hate the game"

Death Angel's best effort since frolic in the park. The songs are fast, heavy, and are more brutal than Act 3 and the others after it. Some songs sound very metalcore because of Rob's vocals for example Claws in so deep, hurting the album(avoid them!). drums are tight, solos are great,bass lines add to the guitars making some sweet sounds. marks voice is as good the old days. 4 songs sucked Major orangutan balls but the rest i enjoyed. Pick it up, when i comes out in the USA!
