This band is and always has been a third-rate Disturbed clone,and this is from someone who dislikes Disturbed.

Angst can never be delivered without an inch of rhyme or reason, which is precisely where Sinner comes in. Once again, this is another one of those albums that shouldn't be admired so much because of the nostalgia values clouding one's hazy judgement.

Old Drowning Pool, best Drowning Pool. Great lyrics, amazing riffs, superb vocals, tight drumming, prominent bass playing, well-written songs and magnificent musicianship. An exclellent and fun Metal record that, although it has flaws, it's still a great listen.

Drowning Pool's debut is totally a sinner, containing one-line choruses that are repeated ad-nauseum.

Sinner is the only album that features the original vocalist Dave Williams. It is heavy and hook-filled, addictive and energetic but it has the misfortune of having the mega hit 'Bodies' in its track list, a song that dwarfed the album's quality and magnitude . Sinner contains a handful of nu metal classics such as the Alice In Chains influenced 'Tear Away', the punchy 'All Over Me', the aggressive 'Reminded' and the biting 'Pity'.

I was hoping for more exciting , unique tracks like Bodies. What we got was a solid set of grooving power chord based songs but nothing that really caught my ear. There is an over reliance on guitar pedals instead of great riffage. It gets a 3 because of William's singing and screams. It's a better than average nu metal album, but it still bored me a little bit.

I think the main issue with this album is that the first 4 tracks are pretty good, Bodies and Sinner being the most memorable for me, while the middle part of this album blends together. It isn't necessarily bad, just kind of forgettable. That being said, I did Mute over the other middle songs. That being said, the only track I actively disliked was Told You So and Sermon was kind of mixed in my eyes.

Alright everyone, here it is. My favorite Nu Metal album of all time. I guess this would be my #1 album of all time in that case since Nu Metal is my favorite genre. Drowning Pool are a fairly consistent metal band, and this debut really struck a cord in me at an early age. I can't relate or feel as much blood and passion with an album more than this. It's apart of me really. I'm scared to think where I'd be without Sinner. Every single track holds unique meaning to me in my life.

One of the finest nu metal albums ever recorded (well, probably as good as nu metal can get anyway). They took an incredible nosedive after this release into hard rock mediocrity after this release that they have never recovered from. The songs are still incredibly memorable to this day, even if Bodies is laughable.

One of the few 3/5 rated albums that I could certainly enjoy every once in a while. A nu-metal sound w/ an occasional
hardcore vocal delivery make for one of the few hard rock albums (of a prior decade) that could still stack up to the garden
variety of hard rock albums of the next decade.

one of the best hard rock bands when they first started, but since have gone downhill to what they are when they wrote "Desensitized." Dave Williams (RIP) does some excellent vocal work accompanied by a band that never lets one member steal the spotlight. Sinner is a great CD
