Kind of a letdown, just kind of. Theres not enough variety in this album, and its just to
reminiscent of KSE. You're going to notice a lot of "haven't I heard this before" moments.
Still a good album filled with lots of emotion, beautiful melodies and angst. Regardless,
this is better than anything KSE has put out since AOJB.

This album, put simply, proves why Killswitch Engage will never make anything that measures up to Alive Or Just Breathing.

Don't know why the staff reviewer gave this such a bad rating. A classic album this is not, especially with all of the autotune and with this sounding like a Killswitch clone record at times. However, the lyrics, vocals, and energy put forth into this album more than make up for it. This record really does sound the like the hymn of a broken man. Like someone who has experienced a lot in life and is trying to pass on good advice to others going through the same thing. If I wasn't mistaken, I would think this is Christian metal. Regardless, any fan of Killswitch or those looking for inspiration will definitely enjoy this.

Although I love Adam D. and Jesse Leach, I never expected this album to be so killer. Even though -especially with jesse back in KSE- it isn't a KSE release, I still weighed it against my favourite KSE albums. And you know what? It held it's own like a champ! Great back and forth vocal harmonies between Adam and Jesse to say nothing of the stellar musicianship.

This is what Killswitch Engage wished they sounded like after As Daylight Dies. The album blends the classic Killswitch sound with (mostly) darker instrumentation and uplifting vocals/lyrics. It's gonna be hard for Killswitch to top this, come next year.

I really like the idea of this album, and while the majority of the tracks, such as "Willing" and "Live in Love" are fairly strong and cohesive, the auto-tuning on Adam's voice serves as a huge distraction, especially in "Fall From Grace". Jesse's voice is fairly strong throughout the album, and his screams have only gotten better since leaving Killswitch Engage. Overall a fairly good album, that could always have been better.

This album is epic. I have always loved Adam D's voice which he rarely exercises in KSE. The melody produced by Adam and Jesse is amazing. The song structure is repetitive but so was that of the great Nirvana. Classic album that everyone should add to their collection. This one should go down in history as one of the staples of our generation.

A quality but not so different approach for one time and current members of KsE, Songs are crafted with a high sense of song-writing skill. This album may however be a bit hard for some listeners to digest as songs and musical ideas blend together, and tempo and timing may feel un-conventional. Overall its worth a listen even if once is all you will be able to get through it.

I really enjoyed it I felt like i could really relate too a lot of the song writing. Thats my prefrence but The music itself was better then a lot of kse's stuff Mainly the drumming.

It's hard to be experimental on every song and still make an album have one unified sound. This album tries and fails at that. After the 4th track it stops sounding like an album and starts sounding randomly pieced together, like every song wants to be a single but none of them are actually good enough to stand on their own.
