A really good jazz-oriented soundtrack. It kind of had a Godfather feel to it also.

the way this soundtrack illustrates the filthy '70s New York City through the lens of the spiraling vet Travis Bickle is like no other. the drums are often used in a harsh, militant manner, juxtaposed with the tragically exhausted, beautifully swooning horns is incredible, truly adding a new dimension to the movie that cannot be overstated.
