One of the very few Rise bands that has recognisable talent. They really need to find a better label who's reputation wont hold them back.

The Color Morale seem to have everything it takes to be a prototypical Rise Records band; endless chugging, sing/scream dynamic, and a littany of breakdowns. With that being said, there are nuances that make this record stand out among many others in the genre. Passionate, incredible clean vocals and interesting guitar leads make for a great listen. It helps that the lyrics aren't the normal drivel about lost love and devotion to God; it is in the small details here that point to a good record and an even better one in the future.

Alot of amazing melodic moments are screwed up by needless and annoying breakdowns. This band would be so amazing if they made verses more like the ones on demon teeth and choruses like in human(s) being or the dying hymn.

This band is very original, in this genre especially. Garrett has some ver unique vocals. I honestly feel they should abandon the growls and most breakdowns and just focus on more melodies to back his voice. None the less this album proves they are headed in the right direction as a group.

This album seems to have gotten out of the more progressive, Beloved-esque direction so they could sound more fun. They seem to have gone in a more catchy, The Ghost Inside direction, and while it's riddled with breakdowns and 2-step riffs, it's in such an uplifting manner it's nearly instantly charming. Not that this album is without any progressive material whatsoever or without substance, and both the clean and screamed vocals have greatly improved.
