Since "Christian Rock" moved from "Petra"-mode into something that we could actually enjoy listening to, the genre has thirsted for a pure Worship album. Well, Kutless did generate a recording a few years ago which put a hard-rock spin on a few of the classics that they grew up to singing in church. That was ok but it really didn't hit home with the -hard rock- crew.
That said, finally, FINALLY we have something that hits home.
"ECHOES OF THE SPIRIT STILL DWELL" by SPOKEN demonstrates exactly why we were thirsty for something new. This LP is a Hard-Rock Christian Worship LP, plain and true. Each song is absent of ambiguity as the bands true emotions are felt through the lyrics. No other band has been so blatant about their unlimited love for Jesus while using screaming guitars and rhythmic drums to enforce the messege. HARMONY reigns with this release.
From the title of the LP all the way to the last track (the LP's best song), I LOVE THIS BAND!
