Kylie Minogue seems to be effortlessly gliding through eras, as she managed to deliver great pop albums in five different decades (!!!). Aphrodite was indeed very late noughties-influenced, but its production isn't as brash as most pop records from that era (which is why I love this and loathe most mainstream pop albums from that pre-Lana period). Dancey, sexy, and energetic: that's all you need.
