Blood on the Dance Floor has taken the stylings of previous artists before them such as Brokencyde, Breathe Carolina, dotdotcurve and Scene Kidz and skewed it to an even younger demographic. That transvestite on the cover is oddly arousing for scene tweens around the world, and the music is no exception. Just as the other bands of their genre have done, Blood on the Dance Floor have perfected their game on their sophomore release rather than settling for a sophomore slump. The result is one of the greatest albums of the last 10 years. Simply put; if you're not listening, you need to see a psychologist.

Just sayin, but i disagree with the person who posted saying "Simply put; if you're not listening, you need to see a psychologist".. Really? please tell me that you were screwin around.. cuz thats sad.
I mean, im the kind of person who likes just about everything, but even I can't give this album pity points. It's not even very fun to listen to?! at least with Brokencyde and 3Oh!3 its fun.

This album is so much fun, and it really makes you feel like a scene queen when you listen to it. It's great to dance to, and it shows independence. The lyrics make you think about how it doesn't matter what people think. The fact that the band members are openly gay and bi makes it great for the lgbt community too

It was difficult to imagine Blood on the Dance Floor recording an album even worse than their debut, but they have managed to pull it off on follow-up 'It's Hard to Be a Diamond in a Rhinestone World'. At least some of the debut's latter-half tracks showed an inkling of promise, but practically every song here is genuinely worthless electro-pop. More horrid vocals are this time accompanied by a greater use of awfully misplaced screaming, while the lyrics just keep getting more ridiculous: This LP's lowlight being "I'm So Fresh I Got The Keys To The Bakery... I Got You Wetter Than Hurricane Katrina". Recommended Track: Do You Want to Be a Superstar?

I loved it! The lyrics are funny, unless you want to be all goody-goody. Just loosen up, you might have a laugh.And the music is rather good. The songs are catchy, fast-paced, but not annoying like other pop music (i.e. Katy Perry... We get it. California girls are hot sh*t.) I like it. Catchy and fun to listen to; Way to go guys.

Sure, this band has its shortcomings with the main one being the ridiculously imature lyricism about abusing ladies vaginas, and that is more than present here but its actually a solid listen with good fun electronic beats that stick in your head, decent enough screaming and its just catchy as hell

A more than listenable release thats unfortunately just boring as hell and does nothing remotely new. Its nowhere near as bad as claimed and definitely stands out as one of the best releases this band has ever done. Some of the songs are good but they are ruined by immaturity

Probably the best thing the band will ever record, the screaming on here is actually more than tolerable. However the stupid talk-rapping is still there and worse than ever with the most ridiculous lyrics and song titles ever put to record-S My D standing out as possibly the most pathetic song of all time despite the fact the screaming section is rather well done.
