An unrefined and unlearned form of the Converge we've come to know and lube, but this record is not disappointing in any way shape or form.

The first album by Converge, Caring but Killing shows the band still developing, and showing heavy thrash metal influences, instead of the extreme metal of what they would later become. "Two Day Romance" still holds to me as one of their best songs, and "I Abstain" is also a great song.
