One of the purest thrash metal albums I've come across. No death metal influences, just very
fast and very good thrash. The vocals might turn off some, but the overall instrumentation
and great songs are enough of a reason to check this out, for anyone considering himself (or
herself) a thrash fan.
No bullshit, just 7 tracks of excellent in-your-face METAL!

The most Bay Area overrated band and album in my opinion. Average songwriting, average musical performances and bellow average vocals. Miles aways from Testament, Exodus, Forbidden or even Death Angel.

I used to dislike this album. Thought it was awful. I now realize I was a fool. This may be a top 10 album for me nowadays. Every song is a bombardment of thrash unlike anything else.

Sean Killian's vocals aren't too great and can occasionally be outright distracting, but they do have plenty of attitude. The rest of the band thrash like there's no tomorrow, and the riffage is in fine fette. Highly recommended for fans of Exodus' Bonded by Blood.

Eternal Nightmare is one of thrash metal's most overlooked album in my opinion. I actually think that this is one of the milestones in thrash metal history. Eternal Nightmare has something that most thrash albums usually lacked: speed. But this was almost too fast for thrash metal. The music is incredibly intense and fast but also quite aggressive and funny at times. You get frantic riffing, blasting drums and… one oddly sounding vocalist. Seriously, it sounds like the dude is chewing something while he is singing. Bottom-line is that this was thrash metal at one of its fastest moments but it was also very enjoyable as well. Thrashers need this album in their collection.

Vio-lence are an interesting band and there is two things you'll most definitely notice about the band. One thing is that the singer has quite a high voice, almost like Joey Belladonna tripping on acid. The second thing is that you'll notice who the guitarists are. Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel both play guitar in this band. It's interesting that they were in a speed metal/thrash metal band and then to a nu-metal-like modern day band like Machine Head. But enough of the two guitarists status. This is ripping thrash and it's quite fast as well. While it keeps the speed and intensity of most thrash bands, they also add extra bits from outside the genre. I recommend the title track and Bodies on Bodies. This is pretty cool stuff I might add and you are sure to get a kick out of it. I recommend this to thrash fans which aren't distracted by high voices (I'm looking at you Anthrax).
