Playing the kind of post-grunge/nu-metal hybrid that pro-wrestling fans love, young Louisiana bred outfit 12 Stones impress on their uplifting self-titled debut LP. While nowhere near ground-breaking, the quartet find the almost perfect balance of shouty agression & melodic hooks. Pretty much all tracks are ready for radio, yet many of them are also destined to be a release valve for some adolescent angst. While repetition does eventually set in, it is a by-product of an amazing consistency, since there is practically no filler whatsoever on this sincere & exciting release. Recommended Tracks: The Way I Feel, Broken, Fade Away, Crash & Home.

well another regret album of mine, well at least even back then half the songs were a pass. Hearing it now, i can say the instrumentation while bland has it's moments to step up as above average, though those are few and far. Paul can give emotion in his performance but for 85% of the album he chooses to the half asleep yawn that plagues Post-grunge. Only song worth checking out is "soulfire" one of the better worship rock songs out there

If you can stand some Creed-grunge then this album is for you. In my opinion, while it starts off fairly strongly, your interest soon fades awaaaaaay.

The only reason I give this .5 higher than a one is when I was younger I saw them at a fest at our collisuem and they put on a decent alternative rock show. Band sucks wish this genre would die like crunkcore
