If Trees Swallow Houses was a jubilant expression of youth and You and Me and the Mountain was teenage growing pains, then Pertch Patchwork is Maps and Atlases all grown up.

A really solid album. A very different sound from a band, and I really enjoy it. A lot of range from punkish sounds to indie acoustic bits. The singer has a great Randy Newman-esce voice, and you can tell that a lot of soul was put into this album. Very excellent.

Incredible year for music. I loved "Trees, Swallows, Houses" but this is something else. So layered and intricate yet catchy and fun. My end of year list is going to be tough...

Insanely catchy music. I was recommended this by a friend since I'm a Minus The Bear fan and this was just amazing, blows Minus The Bear's new record out of the water. I'm going to check their earlier material out. I look forward to see what else these guys can do.
