Since Katai Tamas's most known project, Thy Catafalque, underground notoriety, it became apparent that Tamas was in love with three things: European folk, post-rock, and tranquility. So is Erika Szobaja, an album that shows him expanding on all of his ideas. And god it's good. Whether Tamas is blending ambience with Hungarian folk, or post-rock undertones with a neoclassical flow, he simply can't go wrong. His enlightening, world-conscious blend of elegant genres is a mesmerizing one, and it's certainly an album you should invest time in.
