Best stuff they've ever done far and away for me... I love the neorcrust-tinged hardcore
style... post-metal gets drawn out too much in general, but feels right mostly and sometimes
it's fking real. Comparatively, feels like very little is wasted here. 2nd half of
Enmiserate could be better. Wish Ganymede turned into a hardcore song after a couple minutes
but still strong for what it is - put that on my snooze playlist. Freedom from Pain is new
ancient savagery. And let's not forget Uncollected - chorus absolutely hits. Greater
Darkness has a couple really cool parts but mostly misses the mark and band's vocalist has
always rode the line of being able to carry a melody but has only gotten better and even the
cleans almost work in a gritty way.
If you want a standard screamo-fest, that's not here. But the evolution is visceral and
authentic, and in my opinion, it's been a long time coming. They've always teased, but to
me, this is the first time an Ostraca record really hit all the way.

keep trying to get into this band as i love me some skramz, but idk something just isnt clicking. the performances are fiery and the production here is awesome and heavy, but something about it feels very..formulaic. particularly the long atmospheric post-metal-ish sections in the middle which tend to meander. there are def some awesome moments but idk maybe its a 'me thing'

Ostraca's best album and a culmination of everything they have worked towards. Backed by meaner and heavier production than any of their previous works, Thread is a beautiful crash of anger and sorrow.

Very replacement level Ostraca. I really like this band but this feels just a tad redundant in their greater discography.
