Love it, a much grittier sound than White Tomb, and though it doesn't quite meet that standard, I think it's fucking awesome nonetheless. They sound like some really great live songs that are well composed and put together.

Two raw, plodding, pelagial dirges. A stripped down extended offering, coming off the
feathers of 2009's massive "White Tomb". We're treated to a set of harrowing funeral
marches. "The Weight Of All" unequivocally towers as the highlight, at a head-turning
(admittedly bloated) near-twenty minutes; it's passionate building layers peak ten
minutes through, as an enormous breakdown of cascading percussion hypnotizes the
listener for several minutes. This group was truly something special. - 4.2/5

I rate it 2.5 because quite frankly I only like half of the EP, I only like the track "The Weight Of All". I'm happy to see that Altar Of Plagues hasn't changed since "White Tomb" and this EP makes me excited for their next full length

A huge step down from White Tomb. The melodies lack the impact they had before, the build-ups are not only sparse, but are also weak and the songs seem to drag on forever.
