Never thought I'd say this about an Evanescence album in 2026, but this actually kinda slaps.

Acceptable mainstream metal. Another addition to the Jordan Fish cinematic universe so of course all the instrumentation sounds the same as every other Fish produced record. Not that anyone cares about the instrumentation on an Evanescence record any way. To her credit, Amy Lee still sounds great

Amy Lee sounds incredible obviously, but her voice can only carry this so far. I like the Fish man, but production-wise and instrumentally this is extremely mid.
