| 4.0 excellent | Numali | May 15th 26 | Haters will hate and you can't please everyone but, this deserves a fair shot. Give it a second listen and you'll find it starting to stick and hit hard. Things you missed the first time around will start clicking. Personally, I found "Talk" catchy, crisp, and really well put together. The production holds its own and I had a good time cranking it through my speakers. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen, this is nowhere near the radio bait territory of BMTH, Sleep Token, The Ghost Inside (whatever mediocre nu-metal crap they came up with) or AA.

| 4.0 excellent | NudeTayne | May 15th 26 | the rating distribution of this will be straight up legendary. scared to even rate this because down the line I might enjoy it even more, which is par for the course for this band. their albums are typically a slow burn and I always raise an eyebrow at anyone who is brave enough to rate their albums upon a first listen, but I'll give it a shot this time around.

| 1.0 awful | Tundra | May 15th 26 | This album is actually garbage wtf. This is an octaneslop album. It does what I like to call the "octane 101 strat". This strat being have most of the songs being radio-ready songs, and the last 20 or so percent be heavier songs. These pop-leaning tracks sound like absolute garbage. Jesus christ. 80s cheese with shoehorned djents, "heavy for the sake of heavy", no meaning, just djunz. No cohesion to speak of. Flow is terrible as it will go from pop ass shit to a deathcore song with Will Ramos feature. Fuck you.

| 3.0 good | Durrzo | May 15th 26 | Wow this is easily their worst material ever. Spencer really plays with his range which is cool, but instrumentally most of this is painfully boring.

| 3.0 good | Pennywise_M | May 17th 26 | More than half the tracks feel uninspired and compare poorly to the band's past work, but the writing's still decent and the initial stretch of tracks hits moderately hard. Gravely lacking in good guitar work and the flow between tracks feels trivial. Spencer Sotelo for sure carries this album by making even the dullest songs catchy.

| 2.0 poor | LettuceInAmbers | May 16th 26 | Very lackluster. Was hoping to enjoy this after a Misha interview where he mentioned
emotions and a new approach but this just is the exact same, imho limited musical
vocabulary. Only this time they have not "the heavy one", "the radio-friendly one", "the
melodic one" but rather mix everything into each song. Not for me, unfortunately.

| 3.5 great | buttgrinder | May 15th 26 | oh the fans are gonna haaate this lol. definitely their most streamlined and commercial album. that being said, they're not doing anything here egregiously octaney that they haven't already done in the past. but in past albums, they at least had longer proggy songs to balance out the radio shit. disappointing but not terrible.

| 2.5 average | KrillBoi | May 15th 26 | Unfortunately not very exciting - most definitely their dullest release.

| 2.0 poor | ShadowOfTheCitadel | May 15th 26 | Title track is best song off of this new work of theirs. Mostly because it's the end of the
album, which inspires feelings of safety and calm.
Also because it's a semi-neat little acoustic number that doesn't feature boring alt-pop-
metal choruses or, unfortunately, arbitrarily thrown together "brutal" points at the end of
the song to make you know that, "Yeah - I'm listening to fuckin' Periphery right now!"
I heard this album was very personal to them, and I'm glad they put it out. Love those guys.
...Album is it's namesake. Pale...white...dot... (Because you know they're going to make a
white-marble colored vinyl and sell it for $75 despite this shit not having any semblance of
dynamic range.)

| 2.5 average | Aerialist | May 15th 26 | What the heck is Spencer doing on this album? Some of those vocal lines are certainly a choice. Almost thought he
broke through to something good for a second and then I realised it was Will Ramos. Album are bizarre and lacks a
coherent vision.

| 4.0 excellent | PickleVai17 | April 5th 26 | Single is pretty solid. I'm happy they've called this album something other than P6: Insert Retarded Title. Hopefully it's a sign we'll get something different on this album.

| 1.5 very poor | owmysnauze | April 3rd 26 | Mr God is just all chugs upon chugs? nothing very interesting. Hopefully the first single isn?t an indication of the album as a whole.
