Holy fuckin hell I really did not see this one coming. Aaron is the only person who could realistically fill these shoes and he
does not disappoint. The group sounds reinvigorated and even some of Steve von till’s solo output finds its way into the
more mellow moments of ambient soundscapes. Welcome the fuck back Neurosis, and I?ll see you in the mountains.

edit: Was browsing theough my library for an album to put on at work today and started Fires Within Fires and as I was
about to click on the band name I thought: “Man… I really wish Neurosis was still a thing..” and then BAM I click on
Neurosis and there it is!!???????????!!!!!??!!!?? And they did it with Aaron Turner of all people????! I’m shaking

What an incredible comeback album of Neurosis with the incredible choice of Aaron Turner as a new member for the vocals. Turner does fits like he has always been part of this band and the album should be placed among their very best ones. It has all things that made Neurosis great over the course of their discography and therefore could be a great starting point for younger listeners who want to discover this outstanding band. Neurosis shadow dropping this was for sure one of the best moments of this year. This album, for what it is, is close to perfect.
