Amazingly dense and slow moving, Mono's second album comes up with eight songs clocking in at an hour. While somewhat amateurish for most Post Rock bands, Mono have studied the sounds of Mogwai and Sigur Ros and truly created a work of passion for the genre. From the 10 minute opener to the achingly poignant Lost Snow, the band know their limits and play them just right. An incredibly deep and thoughtful listen, this is an album no fan of the genre should pass on.
