An album brimming with swag and attitude. As an enjoyer of Lui's unique singing voice I was also a fan of her debut album but Lapis Lazuli improves on it in strides. Every instrumental on here is lush and energetic, each song having their distinct identity and quality. Lui seems to have gotten a lot more confident in her vocals, you can hear her singing in a variety of styles and even cawing like the hawk that she is. I'm especially happy about having another metal banger on here as a sort of sequel to Fools Fools Fools. And what a banger it is, Anastasis Girl might actually be my favorite hololive song of 2025. Lap-chan and Lui-nee work perfectly on it as a duo. On that note, I can't wait for Laplus to finally release an EP or full album, her own music is incredibly good aswell. For my money, together with koyori, holoX has released two of the best albums of 2025. Such a strong generation, can't wait for their group album and concert later this spring.
