The new single is ok but not the most exciting thing on the planet, the spitfire vocals get old pretty fast especially when used THIS much. Also, stupid stupid title.

It becomes easy to forget about this style of tech death metal in 2026 but thankfully Archspire are still around to remind us that you can indeed write tracks that are blisteringly fast, virtuosic instrumentally but still retain elements of catchiness and replayability. In the last decade many tech death metal bands have moved to dissonance, atmosphere and song structures that really don't follow any structure and maybe this is a reason why this album stands out so much in 2026. Either way, 'Too Fast To Die' balances riffing, insane guitar leads and their signature 300 world per minute vocals to near perfection with each track taking on its own personality. It is hard to remember an album this technical that can be replayed so much, perhaps have to go as far back as Necrophagist's two masterpieces. 'Carrion Ladder' and 'Limb of Leviticus' are excellence but its hard to pass over anything on this record.

The speed and technicality don't impress me as much - what I love about this album are the melodies.

Based off of the 4 singles, it seems almost impossible that this isn't a 4.5 or higher.

Another strong Archspire album. This time, though, what really sold it for me was the increased
focus on melody, something that the band hadn't experimented as much with before. They're still
fast and technical as heck, but a lot of these tracks win me over through catchy lead guitar
lines and more accessible structures that actually revisit ideas instead of relentlessly mutating
them (got em). On earlier albums, I was there for the wacky time signatures and intelligent
dynamic compositions. They stroke a better balance here, and it made for a great album. It just
didn't make for one of their best albums. Excited for the next one.

Continuing to press the limits of human speed, Archspire doesn?t disappoint with a face-melting introduction to their
first outing as independent artists. ‘Carrion Ladder’ proves to be a greater assault to the senses than their previous
effort, with a machine gun’s pace, explosive delivery, and surgical precision in tow. The boys are back in town, indeed.
