The Flatliner's affiliation with the ska genre tag kept me from checking this out since its release in 2010 - ska's just never been much of my forte. But thankfully, in my case at least, for Cavalcade The Flatliners have mostly utilized a sturdy pop punk/melodic hardcore base with a strong vocalist in Chris Cresswell, leaving some of their past behind. The best sound mix description here is if Four Years Strong and recent Strike Anywhere collaborated for an album than Cavalcade would be the offspring - in other words, excellent without being whiny, too. This is well worth your time.
