I discovered Worm with their 3rd full-length Foreverglade and fell in kove with the project when they added Québecs? Phil Tougas (Exxul, Chthe?ilist, Zeicrydeus, etc) to the lineup with Bluenothing and took a completely new, more gothic and melodic direction and I have been patiently waiting for a new full-length showcasing this new direction. Can?t say how stoked I am about this one because although I don?t think it reaches the same high as in the Bluenothing EP, it still fucking slaps

It's alright, I guess? It has its moments (like the main riff of "Dragon Dreams" is killer), but in general: the flow is really bad. The entire album feels too tryhard - don't get me wrong, I admire their virtuosity - but man, it's too much.

In theory, I should love this album, but in execution I think the band just isn't playing to their strengths on this one, and while I appreciate them making music based on what clearly inspired them to create music in the first place, it just doesn't translate into a strong project.
