It's funny to listen to all these contemporary video game soundtracks, despite their production value, nothing has managed to reach the level of Chrono Trigger. Even with the SNES quality pixel sounds, every single song is unique and perfectly composed. I can't remember every part of the game off the top of my head, but listening to each track, I can list off each place almost instantly. Isn't that what a video game soundtrack should be able to do?
