A bit split on this one, some songs are among their best work but seems like they added some filler (Hurt Me and Tired specifically) to make this into an album isntead of continuing with their focused EPs. Expanding on some of these tracks could of been beneficial

More solid stuff from one of the best dreampop bands I've ever heard. To be honest, the tracks off their long awaited debut album haven't quite gripped me as much as their older tracks. But that just could be to do with me listening to this band since their initial rise and following their journey throughout the years very closely. There's a slight amount of fatigue with the sound setting in. For a first time listener, it'll probably hit really nicely, however.rThe more punk side to the group I've always been a bit on the fence on. I don't mind the odd more energetic track from them, but "Hurt Me" and "Tired" are where my limit gets reached a bit. The intent behind the songs are understand, just the execution isn't quite my favorite. The screeching repetitive choruses I find a bit of an ear sore, personally.

What a frustrating listen this is. This record is a showcase some of SC's best work to date
(Pill to Swallow, Naive, I Held You Like Glass, When a Flower Doesn't Grow), but,
unfortunatley you have to wade through some of the worst Pseudo-Punk, "Oh did we mention we
are femenist's" clangers ever recorded. The message behind these songs isn't a contributor to
my frustration - I'll make that clear straight away - but it says a lot that the utterly
tedious, derivative "Tired" runs for just over a minute and yet somehow feels like the
longest track on the record.
