It's kind of a bummer that my 'album of Fall 2025' is going to be this one, mostly because there's been some real standouts in nearly every prior year, and yet this year the music I'll be associating with the season is something as 'fine' as this. Credit where credit's due here, "Violent Nature" is a much better record than "TRUE POWER". The subtraction of one of the vocalists also subtracted I Prevail from doing bizarre rap-bits or mumble//trap bits that were great for variety on "TRAUMA", but weren't meant to be revisited yet the constant presence on "TRUE POWER" made for an awkward listen. "Violent Nature" feels more standard than ever, yet if you've got good songwriting and mixing, it shouldn't matter. 'Synthetic Soul', the opener to the record, is the best track here using a 4-3 suspension in the chorus whilst introducing sounds you'll hear throughout the record. Songs here range from all-singing to all-screaming, and the instrumental parts step up their game to balance the act. While all of this is complimentary, there's still no escaping that this is a standard-sounding metalcore record...making it very much "fine", but again, strangely a step in the right direction for I Prevail.

Very very very generic. Basically a compilation of OctaneCore tracks, barring a few exceptions. Most of it is pleasant but in the end completely empty.

Nothing here to necessarily HATE, but it definitely felt both less inspired and less interesting than previous efforts. Eric's screams are killer but the cleans without Brian don't do it for me.

The singles are the best part tbh. I like the sound, but lyrically its a step down imo
