| 4.0 excellent | Antonius | November 10th 25 | Legends marks a detour from the archetypical lyrical content of World Wars and the trenches, as the war-obsessed Swedes broaden their scope across the centuries. With founding duo Joakim Brodén (vocals) and Pär Sundström (bass) still at the helm and with former guitarist Thobbe Englund rejoining, Sabaton enter their 11th chapter in a glorious way. Roaming from Julius Caesar ('Crossing The Rubicon') to the Knights Templar ('Templars') and from Napoleon ('I Emperor') to Joan of Arc ('Maid of Steel') and Mongol horsemen ('Hordes of Khan'), each song is a thunderous anthem depicting theatrical storytelling at its finest form, in the way that only Sabaton can muster. Once again production sparkles and the choral arrangements appearing are stunning. An album of unwavering power and pomp, Legends wins the bet on whether Sabaton can keep things fresh and interesting or not. Recommendations: "Templars", "The Duelist", "Crossing the Rubicon", "I, Emperor", "Impaler", "The Cycle of Songs".

| 2.0 poor | DoctorVelvet | October 25th 25 | Derivative even by Sabaton's standards. Easily their worst album.
