This one shut them allll up didn't it? No more pretty boy here, Mayer delves staright into his raw roots of aqua blues, playing like the best of them and using his soothing but oh-so-dirty voice to give us one of the purest and punchy records of his career. This was the album Mayer simply had to have - from him to us, a breath of awesomeness.

Listening to this really makes you love blues. He has so much energy and soul. It sounds like B.B. King at some points. I was also very suprised on how good of a guitarist he was. He comes up with some really great licks. This is a very good listen.

I loved this album because of the fact that it didn't forsake what came before.
I have to say that I'm one of the "fans", if you will, that saw this coming a mile away.
Personally, I'm glad the whole album wasn't 100% hardcore blues. That would've done my head in. I love "Good Love Is On The Way". I think that next to "Another Kind of Green" is one of the strongest new works on the album.
I think the album's a must have for anyone who likes any of the following:
? John Mayer
? Blues
? Stevie Ray Vaughan
? Jimi Hendrix
And not so much for those who love Mayer for sounding alike to Paul McCartney or Sting in musical stylings (not in voice, of course).
