I don't know what else to say about this album other than it made a fucking significant impression on me upon first listen. They sound like they had an insane amount of fun making it, and I think it shows through how playful and cohesive the entire album is. rThe back half (Mirador thru Beautifully Human) is the strongest collection of BTBAM songs in sequence that I can think of, and the title track is legitimately unexpectedly beautiful and sentimental in it's unabashed cheesiness. Absolute banger of an album.

The Blue Nowhere is not going to change anyone's mind about this band. Maxed out on the best (or worst) tendencies of this band. Full of whimsy and cheese.

I haven't listened this band for a while so this release came as a surprise. The whole album has a fresh sound and lots of good ideas. One of the best albums of the year for sure.

Yeah I don't mind these guys just putting whatever random shit they can think about and putting

After one spin, gonna give this a 3.5 and adjust later as needed. It's recent-style BTBAM on overdrive: weird, spastic, and yet compelling and high-quality. Definitely needs some time and additional plays to solidify a rating.
