4.5 superb | GoingPlaces | April 6th 10 | One of the few, young death metal bands out of the USA not bastardizing the sound with a shitload of stupid breakdowns ala [insert generic metalcore band]. A step up from their already superb Metal Blade debut album, Kingdom of Might, they assault you with a legion of catchy, technical riffs, passionate vocals, and exquisite drumming. Here's to hoping more bands like Woe of Tyrants begin emerging out of the states.

4.5 superb | Volt2187 | April 4th 10 | An improvement from Kingdom of Might, adding more variety and more kick ass riffs. Vocals are still killer too. What melodeath should sound like.

4.0 excellent | XfingTheSullen | December 19th 11 | Very melodic, very heavy.. this is probably the finest example of modern American melodath. Like The Black Dahlia Murder but more varied, symphonic and engaging.

3.0 good | asdemonsburn | April 6th 10 | This is not an improvement at all, the tone is flat, and overall it sounds like Kingdom of Might B-sides

3.0 good | Zoo | April 6th 10 | Pretty solid, albeit slightly stale at times. Threnody is, essentially, the same album as KoM, so if you liked that, then this is an obvious pick up.
