Maintains the rapping chemistry of the first few Clipse albums while taking the diverse creative pursuits that Pusha's solo albums went down, pushing them to new heights. At the very least this is a 4, and Birds Don't Sing is a strong contender for the best Clipse song. Powerful stuff.

One of those rare records that blows you away the first couple listens but with time some of that luster fades. For me some of that comes from the lyrics and themes of the songs often being repetitive. How much caviar, coke, chains, cars and such can one really be entertained by before it gets to be too much? Pusha T and Malice are a great duo, that much is obvious. Pusha T has a very direct, aggressive approach where Malice compliments that with a bit more of a restrained, calculated approach. The rap itself is fantastic. 'The Birds Don't Sing', 'Chains & Whips', 'Ace Trumpets', 'FICO' and "Let God...' are very memorable tracks and Clipse did a great job of recruiting some high profile, effective guests for this project. A must spin for hip hop fans.
