Album is great but could have been even better if Aaron Turner would have did some of the vocals

Can't say I expected much from this album, having seen flaws of supergroups through Bloodbath for example. On first listen it was surprisingly good with some great instrumental cohesion, but as a whole it doesnt really go anywhere or consolidate any clear atmosphere/imagery, imo.

So far this is my metal aoty for 2010. Ditching Malefic and picking up Aaron Turner and Sanford Parker was the best thing that ever happened to this black/post metal behemoth.

Twilight has taken a new direction in their sound, due to lineup change maybe, losing the raw and "brutal" black metal sound of self-titled, for better or worse depending of your tastes. Twilight has created a coherent album compared to the Self-titled ; being a team effort unlike the self-titled where you could have pointed which track is coming from who and the smooth transitions between each track really helps the overall flow of the album. Be prepared for a long listen since this album clocks at almost an hour and having 8 songs.
