Violent Soho are a band from Brisbane that are bringing grunge back to the 21st century. This is their second LP, however this album mainly features re-recordings of song off their first album “We Don’t Belong Here”. For their second self-titled album they have channelled the grunge sound into a fantastic listening experience, think Nirvana meets… Nirvana. My favourite songs off this album would have to be “Narrow Ways”, “Jesus Stole my Girlfriend” and “Muscle Junkie”, but I really think that all of their songs are fantastic in there own way. The iTunes version of this album also features a cover of the song “My Pal” by the Australian band GOD which sounds pretty fantastic. They are also one of the best live acts that I think I have seen. I have also been luck enough to meet Michael (drums) and James (guitar) with some of my friends at the Maram in Canberra. Violent Soho are one of my favourite bands of all time and I cant wait to see what they do in the future.
