put simply this album is the sentimentality of kaiho with the continuity of sorni nai. though it doesn't use the recurring motifs usually present in kauan's "one long song" format it gives this album a constant sense of forward momentum and all with their best production work - beautifully crisp and vast. this is kauan's most consistent, sophisticated and - arguably understated - album to date.

The 5 may shift back to a 4.5 over time rThis record spoke to me with its lush soundscapes, it reminded me of the sheer emotional depth and feeling that can be presented by music. This record is a journey and maybe i have not listened to the band enough, but this is beautiful work.

their most digestible, listenable album. starting at 4, but will definitely climb. a few new ideas mixed into their tried and true sound. will have to sit and digest more but could end up being my favorite of theirs
