definitely their darkest and most aggressive album but with enough variance to keep it interesting - don't like it as much as 'walk beyond the dark' but it's great all the same. very underapppreciated band imo.

It's ok, their sound has changed a lot since the last album and I'm not sure if it's for the
better. Talk to Your Sleep literally sounds like a Rivers of Nihil song. I honestly miss the
black metal.

less atmospheric than the superior 'walk beyond the dark', ken's time spent in vale of
pnath (and the subsequent joining of vale's drummer and guitarist) is very evident on this
album. to the degree that you enjoy the more technical and intense style of
music they play will inform how much you enjoy this album. nevertheless, sorceron has grown
tremendously as a songwriter such that the whole album is extremely enjoyable across its
varied runtime, regardless of the style being explored

After five albums I thought I knew what to expect from this band--I was wrong. This isn't just black metal, it's a sludgy, dark, lumbering kind of metal too. Very atmospheric and moody, similar to bands like Ulcerate in the ambience they create. Overall, a very dark, heavy and visceral black metal release.The final song, in particular, was a very surprising (and welcome) finale.

I totally did not see this coming... Now, with A Void Within Existence these are in a new league. The album is unexpectedly brilliant: dark, agressive, very well-written album. Also "No Less Than Death" is the song of the year.
