I think I really like Helloween now... after their Pumpkins United reunion I've been really digging both of these releases! This lacks the better mixing of the 2021 album, but the songwriting is much sharper and concise. Kiske's vocals are too loud on track 2, it's like he's lunging at you. This is Tokyo was a really bad first impression, though I've grown to like parts of it.

Happy to report the self titled wasn't a fluke, and the chemistry the band had on said album is very much intact. Definitely a worthy follow-up, even if the production is a little muddy in places.r
